Privacy, in plain English

Your meter file is never stored. When you upload it, we read it in memory, compute your ranking, and discard it in the same moment — it never touches a disk, a backup, or a third party. Your MPRN (meter number) is never read into our records at all.

What we do keep: the computed summary behind your results link — plan names with their costs for your usage, and aggregate stats like "19% of usage at night". That's so your results page keeps working. It can't be traced back to your meter.

Email — only if you ask. If you tick the re-check option we store your email with that summary, and use it for exactly one thing: telling you when a price change affects your ranking. No marketing, no sharing, and any reply saying "stop" removes it.

No trackers. We count page views and uploads in our own database. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no cookies beyond what the site needs to function.

Your rights (GDPR): ask us any time what we hold for your email address, or ask us to delete it — write to hello@baselinetech.ie and it's done. Data controller: Baseline Tech, Drogheda, Co. Louth, Ireland.

Purpose & retention, formally: processing basis is your consent, given at upload; purpose is computing your tariff comparison; retention is zero for the uploaded file, and for opted-in summaries, until you unsubscribe or ask for erasure.
